Rotary Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer

Rotary Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer

A compact RTO configuration using a rotary gas-distribution valve for broad airflow flexibility and continuous VOC oxidation.

Equipment configuration

Designed around actual process conditions

The circular regenerator and rotary distribution valve replace multiple poppet valves, consolidating flow switching in a compact equipment arrangement.

How it works

A rotating distributor directs exhaust through ceramic sectors for preheating, oxidation, heat recovery and purge while maintaining continuous flow.

  1. 01Pretreat and balance the exhaust
  2. 02Preheat through ceramic sectors
  3. 03Oxidize in the thermal chamber
  4. 04Recover heat through the rotating distribution cycle

Selection cautions
  • Rotary sealing and distribution design must match the required removal duty.
  • Sticky aerosol and particulate must be removed upstream.

Typical pollutants

  • Paint solvents
  • Printing solvents
  • Alcohols and ketones
  • Mixed hydrocarbons
